Automatic locking key lockable door chain with polished brass finish, - provides extra security against forced entry when a door needs to be left ajar (eg: for ventilation) or for when a door has already been opened to answer a call. These door chains are designed so they can be operated from the outside (useful for securing an office door whilst taking charge of a delivery) and can be fitted to most door types, including wood and uPVC. Supplied with screw pack and 2 keys per unit. Fitting: the sliding latch section is best fitted horizontally on the door itself, with the round entry hole on the end furthest away from the edge of the door, and should (ideally) be fitted far enough back from the edge to prevent a person being able to get their hand around the edge of the door sufficiently enough to slide and release the chain latch.
